IPDES E-Permitting System Training for POTWs

On July 1, 2018, DEQ will become the authority responsible for NPDES municipal permits. These facilities include:

  • Publicly owned treatment works (POTWs)
  • Domestic sewage treatment works
  • Sewer districts
  • Any other dischargers designated by DEQ

Details

In preparation for the upcoming change, DEQ has developed and will provide training for the IPDES E-Permitting System through which applicants and permittees must submit permit applications, reports, and other related information (except for DMRs). This single-day training is for the certifying official or duly-authorized representative who is designated by the facility to be the “administrator” for the online account and access. During the training, DEQ will help the administrators access, register, and manage the IPDES E-Permitting System for their permitted facility. Once an administrator completes the training and has been approved by DEQ, other appropriate facility personnel may attend subsequent training sessions. Please come to the training with information necessary to complete the E-Permitting System required access fields.
