DEQ seeks public comment on permit to construct modification for Packaging Corporation of America

BURLEY — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is seeking public comment on a draft air quality permit to construct (PTC) modification for Packaging Corporation of America in Topaz, Idaho.

This approval would modify Packaging Corporation of America's previous permit to construct to replace a corrugator, remove two boilers, install a new boiler, install a converting machine, replace other equipment, and increase production.

The deadline for submitting written comments addressing air quality considerations is December 25, 2019, at 5 p.m. MDT. A public hearing may be held if requested in writing by December 10, 2019.

The permit applications, draft permits, and related documents are available for review on DEQ’s website (download at right).
