DEQ seeks comment on proposed air quality permit to construct for Basic American Foods, Rexburg

REXBURG — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is seeking public comment on a draft air quality permit to construct (PTC) for Basic American Foods in Rexburg, Idaho.

The proposed permit will allow the facility to install a flake production line and air makeup units, replace a boiler and a belt dryer, and increase production.

The deadline for submitting written comments addressing air quality considerations is November 21, 2019, at 5 p.m. MDT. A public hearing may be held if requested in writing by November 7, 2019.
