DEQ extends public comment period for draft Hazardous Waste Management Act permit renewal for PacifiCorp's Idaho Falls Pole Yard

Friday, November 08, 2019

IDAHO FALLS—The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is extending the public comment period for a draft Hazardous Waste Management Act permit renewal for PacifiCorp's Idaho Falls Pole Yard.

The permit renewal will continue to require the facility located at 2200 Leslie Ave., Idaho Falls, Idaho, 83402, to conduct post-closure and corrective action.

Due to a technical error that may have impacted the public’s ability to submit public comments, DEQ is extending the public comment period for 30 days. DEQ is issuing a new public notice and concerned citizen letter, but there are no changes to the fact sheet and draft permit.

These materials are available for review on DEQ’s website (download at right) and DEQ's State Office (1410 N. Hilton St., Boise).

Submit written comments by December 12, 2019, at 5 p.m. MDT on DEQ's website or by mail or email to:
