Wabtec-MotivePower requests modifications to hazardous waste permit

BOISE — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has received a request from Wabtec Corporation - MotivePower to modify a hazardous waste post-closure care permit for its facility located at 4600 Apple St., Boise.

The permit modifications would extend the post-closure care period until 2028, update the Area 2 risk assessment, and address changes to the ground water monitoring program.

The draft permit modifications and related documents are available for review at DEQ's State Office, 1410 N. Hilton, Boise, and on DEQ's website (download at right).

The deadline for submitting comments is November 5, 2018, at 5 p.m. MST. MotivePower will hold a public meeting on October 4, at 6 p.m., at the Best Western Northwest Lodge, 6989 S. Federal Way, Boise.
