DEQ seeks comment on a draft reuse permit for Idaho Correctional Alternative Placement Program facility

Tuesday, December 24, 2019

BOISE — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) seeks comment on a draft reuse permit renewal for the Idaho Correctional Alternative Placement Program (CAPP) facility in Kuna, Idaho.

The permit renewal would allow the Management and Training Corporation's CAPP facility, located at 15505 South Pleasant Valley Rd., to operate a reuse facility in accordance with the "Recycled Water Rules," (IDAPA 58.01.17). The facility would also be allowed to continue to reuse recycled water for crop irrigation for another ten years.

Written comments on the draft permit will be accepted through January 23, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. MST.

The draft permit and staff analysis are available for public review at DEQ’s state office (1410 N. Hilton St.), the Boise Regional Office (1445 N. Orchard St.), and DEQ’s website (download at right).
