Draft 401 Certification - Idaho Transportation Department State Highways 8 and 9 Turn Bay Project - Mount Deary Creek

Accepting Comments from May 15, 2018 to June 5, 2018

This project will take place at the intersection of State Highway 8 and State Highway 9, near Deary. Roadway modifications and widening will be achieved through construction of an eastbound left turn bay and a westbound right turn lane. This action would authorize the Idaho Transportation Department to replace three cross-drain culverts that pass stormwater and wetland flow, and 0.05 total acres of wetlands will be filled with gravel, rock or stone.

Based on its review of the joint application for permit, DEQ certifies that if the permittee complies with the terms and conditions imposed by the permit along with the conditions set forth in this water quality certification, then there is reasonable assurance the activity will comply with the applicable requirements of the Clean Water Act, the Idaho water quality standards, and other appropriate water quality requirements of state law. (ACOE Permit Application Number: NWW-2018-159)
