DEQ seeks comment on draft reuse permit renewal for Twin Lakes Sewer Service, LLC

Accepting comments from November 15, 2024, through December 16, 2024.

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is seeking comment on a draft reuse permit renewal for Twin Lakes Sewer Service, LLC (TLSS).

TLSS operates a municipal Class I treatment and Class I collection system near Rathdrum, Idaho. TLSS also operates a Class C recycled water reuse facility and irrigates approximately 15.36 acres of native forest receiving between 4 to 8 million gallons of recycled water annually. The permit renewal would authorize reuse operations for nine years and establish monitoring requirements, limits on nutrient and hydraulic loading, and conditions established by DEQ to protect public health and the environment.

The permit materials are available for public review at DEQ’s Coeur d’Alene Regional Office (2110 Ironwood Parkway, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814) and on DEQ’s Public Comment Opportunities page. Written comments will be accepted through December 16, 2024, until 5 p.m. MDT. Submit comments electronically using the form below or by mail or email to:
