DEQ seeks comment on draft permit to construct modification for Frazier Industrial Company

Accepting comments from July 17, 2024, through August 16, 2024.

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) seeks comment on a draft permit to construct modification for Frazier Industrial Company.

Frazier Industrial Company operates a steel manufacturing storage system in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The facility receives, cuts, and welds steels into product components, which are then bundled on-site and coated with paint. The company applied for a permit to construct modification, which would authorize the installment of a new portable dip tank in a leased building. This would increase coating and solvent use and change the solvent type.

DEQ has reviewed the application and completed an analysis of the information submitted by the applicant. Based on this analysis, DEQ proposes to issue the modified permit to construct to Frazier Industrial Company.

The application materials are available for public review at DEQ’s State Office (1410 N. Hilton Street, Boise, Idaho) and on DEQ’s Public Comment Opportunities page. Written comments will be accepted through August 16, 2024, at 5 p.m. MDT. Submit comments using the form below or by mail or email:
