The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) seeks comment on a draft permit to construct modification for Riverbend RNG.
Riverbend Dairy, LLC operates a dairy farm in Wendell, Idaho. The Camco International Group, Inc. is proposing to install a renewable natural gas (RNG) facility on a portion of the dairy, including an anaerobic digester and biogas-energy system with two internal combustion engines and one flare. Riverbend Dairy applied for a permit to construct the new RNG facility in January 2024. DEQ reviewed the application and completed an analysis of the information submitted by the applicant and determined that construction and operation according to the proposed modified permit will not cause or significantly contribute to a violation of any ambient air quality standard and will not injure or unreasonably affect human, animal life or vegetation. Based on this analysis, DEQ proposes to issue the modified permit to construct.
The application materials are available for public review at DEQ’s State Office (1410 N. Hilton Street, Boise, Idaho) and on DEQ’s Public Comment Opportunities page. Written comments will be accepted through December 5, 2024, at 5 p.m. Mountain Time. Submit comments using the form below or by mail or email:
