Yanke Machine Shop, Boise, applies to DEQ to modify air quality permit to construct

BOISE— The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has received a request from Yanke Machine Shop, Inc., to modify the air quality permit to construct (PTC) that regulates emissions from the company’s metal fabrication and industrial machining services facility in Boise.

The proposed permit modification will allow the company to increase permitted usage rates for abrasive blasting media, coatings, structural metal, and welding wire. Emissions must remain within legally allowable limits.

A public comment period will be provided on the proposed permit if a written request is submitted to DEQ by January 22, 2019, at 5 p.m. MST.

The permit application is available for review on DEQ’s website (download at right).
