DEQ awards wasterwater planning grant to the Star Sewer and Water District

BOISE — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) today announced the award of a $60,000 wastewater planning grant to the Star Sewer and Water District in Ada County.

The funding will be used to prepare a wastewater planning study. The purpose of the project is to evaluate the current wastewater treatment system and identify any needed improvements.

DEQ is authorized by state law to make loans to assist in the construction of public drinking water systems.

The total eligible cost of the project is $120,000. The remaining $60,000 will be funded by the Star Sewer and Water District.
