DEQ issues a variety of permits and certifications to protect the quality of Idaho’s air, land, and water and to ensure that wastes are treated, stored, and disposed of safely. Permits also establish the conditions under which facilities that generate pollution may operate and outline the applicable state and federal laws with which facilities are required to comply.
Public participation is essential in the permitting process. You can provide input on draft permits and certifications issued for public comment on the Public Information page.
